Muskoka and Almaguin Highlands located north of Toronto is the main area that people visit to rent a cottage, campground, private cottage, bed and breakfast, hotels, motels and cottage resorts.  If you want to rent at an Ontario Cottage Resort during the summer you would need to call in January of that year to ensure the best date available.  Calling early ensures that you get the date that you need and sometimes when you call last minute you get lucky and get a last minute reservation.
